SAGE Research Study 

Participate in a treatment for couples to reduce borderline personality disorder symptoms and improve relationships.

Do you self-harm or have suicidal thoughts and urges? You may be eligible to be in a treatment research study at York University. We are looking for individuals between the ages of 18 and 70 who have a romantic partner, and both partners are able and willing to: Participate in an ongoing treatment study for between 6 and 12 weeks, Complete questionnaires about emotions, thought, and behaviours, Complete a structured interview that will assess your emotional and psychiatric history, Attend couple therapy sessions with their partner, Complete a brief measure of their feelings every day on their smart phone for 5 weeks. Participants will be paid up to $240 for their participation. Interested participants should contact tuliplab@yorku.ca. During periods of social distancing, this study will take place virtually through secure videoconferencing.
Individuals with borderline personality disorder who want treatment and are in a romantic relationship may be eligible to participate in a research study at York University.
Take part in SAGE, a program designed to reduce borderline personality disorder symptoms and improve relationships. Individuals with borderline personality disorder who want treatment and are in a romantic relationship may be eligible to participate in a research study at York University. 
You will be compensated up to $235 for your participation.
We are looking for individuals between the ages of 18 and 70 who:
  1. Have a romantic partner who is also able and willing to participate in a treatment study for 6 to 12 weeks 
  2. Both partners must complete questionnaires about emotions, thoughts, and behaviours 
  3. Both partners must complete a structured interview that will assess your emotional and psychological history
  4. Are willing to attend couple therapy sessions with their partner
  5. Are able and willing to complete a brief measurement of your emotions, thoughts, and behaviours daily on your smart phone for 5 weeks
