Ayla completed a Specialized Honours, B.A. in Psychology and is currently finishing a B.F.A. in Music Performance at York University. Ayla’s research interests include understanding substance co-use and suicidality. Ayla also is completing an Individual Research Project at the BAC Lab examining solitary cannabis and alcohol co-use at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. She hopes to continue her studies in graduate school in clinical psychology specializing in the comorbidity of borderline personality disorder and substance use.
