B.Sc. Honours — 2019 Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, ON Ashley Siegel received her B.Sc. (honours) in Psychology and Neuroscience from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2019. Ashley completed her honours thesis under the supervision of Dr. Nancy Kocovski, in which she examined the effectiveness of self-compassion interventions for individuals with social anxiety. She has extensive experience investigating treatment refractory mood disorders, and works alongside the Mood Disorders Psychopharmacology Unit at the United Health Network to examine novel treatment mechanisms. Ashley is specifically interested in researching treatment modalities for self-injurious and suicidal behaviours in
individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder. She hopes to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology in which she will continue to research and work with individuals with severe mental illness in order to help better their quality of life. |
